URGENT UPDATE: SpaceX has successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 29 satellites early this morning, tying the Space Coast’s annual orbital launch record. The rocket lifted off from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39-A at 3:10 a.m. on November 9, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the space industry.

This launch was part of the Starlink 10-51 mission and represents the 28th flight of the Falcon 9 first stage booster, which made a successful recovery landing on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The launch had faced a delay due to adverse weather conditions that forced a scrub just under a minute before the scheduled liftoff on Saturday.

SpaceX has been a dominant force in the space launch sector, completing all but five of the 93 launches this year. This achievement ties the previous record set in 2024. In contrast, the United Launch Alliance has conducted four launches, and Blue Origin has completed one.

Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket is now eyeing a Sunday afternoon launch, with a window set from 2:45 p.m. to 4:13 p.m. If successful, this could potentially break the Space Coast record for the year, pushing the combined total of launches by SpaceX, ULA, and Blue Origin past 100 before the year’s end.

As space exploration continues to expand, the impact of these launches resonates beyond just statistics; they represent the culmination of relentless innovation and dedication within the aerospace community.

Stay tuned for more updates on Blue Origin’s upcoming launch and the potential record-setting achievements on the horizon.
