Brewers’ Pat Murphy Wins NL Manager of the Year Again

UPDATE: Milwaukee Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy has just been named the National League Manager of the Year for the second consecutive season. The announcement was made last night, with Murphy securing an impressive 27 of 30 first-place votes from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America, defeating contenders Rob Thomson of the Philadelphia Phillies and Terry Francona of the Cincinnati Reds.

This accolade underscores Murphy’s incredible leadership as he guided the Brewers to a franchise-record 97-65 season. The team started slowly, sitting in second place in the NL Central in early July, but surged ahead with a remarkable 29-4 stretch that included a franchise-record 14-game winning streak.

Milwaukee’s postseason journey was historic as they eliminated their rivals, the Chicago Cubs, in the NL Division Series, marking their first playoff series victory since sweeping Colorado in the 2018 NLDS.
