Captain Jake’s Closes for Filming Netflix Show, Reopens Thursday
UPDATE: A beloved restaurant in Newburgh, New York, has closed its doors temporarily for an exciting reason. Captain Jake’s, known for its fresh seafood and vibrant waterfront views, announced its closure on social media, revealing that it would be closed all day on Wednesday, October 22, but would reopen on Thursday.
The restaurant, which typically operates daily from 11:30 a.m. until at least 9 p.m., did not initially disclose the reason for the sudden closure, leaving loyal customers curious and concerned.
In a follow-up post on Wednesday, Captain Jake’s unveiled the thrilling reason for its temporary shutdown: it was filming an episode for the popular Netflix series Four Seasons 2. “Last week we had the honor of filming an episode for Netflix’s Four Seasons 2. What an awesome crew and experience! Look out for Captain Jake’s in the new season!” the restaurant excitedly shared.
This filming also impacted another local establishment, the Newburgh Brewing Company, which closed its doors for the day to accommodate the crew. The Hudson Valley region is quickly becoming a hotspot for film and television production, attracting not only crews but also a host of celebrities.
The renewed attention on the Hudson Valley is evidenced by increased celebrity sightings and film projects, as the area continues to rise in prominence as a filming destination. Captain Jake’s is just one of many local establishments benefiting from this trend, adding to the region’s charm and allure.
As the filming wraps up, fans of Captain Jake’s can look forward to seeing their favorite seafood spot featured in a major Netflix series, boosting local tourism and community pride.
Stay tuned for more updates on when Captain Jake’s will air in Four Seasons 2 and other exciting developments in the Hudson Valley restaurant scene.
