Cherry Hill Man, 62, Arrested for Attempted Child Luring

Nimrod Lasman faces serious charges of second-degree attempted child luring and second-degree attempted sexual assault after engaging in online chats with someone he believed to be a 14-year-old boy.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Lasman’s arrest took place on October 27, 2023, during an undercover operation aimed at combating child exploitation. He was arrested at Cooper River Dog Park in Cherry Hill, where he had arranged to meet the supposed minor for sexual activity.

The investigation began when Lasman initiated contact through a messaging app, thinking he was communicating with a young boy. Instead, he was conversing with an undercover detective posing as the minor. Authorities emphasize the importance of these operations to protect children from potential predators.
