UPDATE: Chicago authorities have issued an urgent alert following a wave of 10 business burglaries that occurred within minutes of each other across various neighborhoods this month. The alarming incidents have taken place in Avondale, Edison Park, Norwood Park, Near West Side, South Loop, Loop, West Loop, West Ridge, and Lakeview.

Police report that in each case, two to four suspects employed pry tools or crowbars to shatter front glass doors. Once inside, these criminals quickly ransacked the businesses, stealing valuable property. During one particularly brazen burglary on Saturday morning, a deli owner in Edison Park was confronted by the thieves and was threatened with a gun as he interrupted their crime, according to his wife and police.

The suspects are believed to be traveling in a stolen gray or silver Infiniti four-door sedan and are described as two men aged between 20 and 30 years, typically clad in dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, and ski masks.

Officers are urging anyone with information about these burglaries to contact Area Three detectives at 312-744-8263 or provide an anonymous tip at CPDTIP.com, referencing # 25-CWP-034.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant as police intensify their investigation into these brazen acts. The rapid succession of these burglaries raises significant concerns about public safety and crime trends in the city.

As this situation develops, community members are encouraged to report suspicious activity and assist law enforcement in apprehending these criminals before they strike again. Stay tuned for more updates on this urgent story as it unfolds.
