Woman Struck by 18-Wheeler on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh

UPDATE: A woman is recovering in the hospital after being struck by an 18-wheeler early this morning in Raleigh, N.C. Authorities confirm the incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on June 10, 2023, in the 3700 block of Capital Boulevard, directly in front of a Circle K convenience store.

Witnesses reported the woman was conscious and alert when officers from the Raleigh Police Department arrived on the scene. She was able to communicate with responders before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she is currently receiving care.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene, and police have launched an active investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. Officers noted that the investigation is in its early stages, and further updates are expected as they gather more information.
