											The first round matchups for the NJSIAA Tournament have been officially announced, featuring a range of high school teams competing across various groups and sections in New Jersey. Scheduled for October 2023, these games will see teams from Central Jersey, North Jersey, and South Jersey face off in an exciting series of matchups.
Matchups Across Multiple Sections
In Central Jersey, Group 4, the matchups include 9-Lincoln visiting 8-Manasquan at 15:45, while 10-Wall will take on 7-South Plainfield at 16:30. Other notable games in this section are 9-Sayreville versus 8-Piscataway at 16:00, 10-East Brunswick against 7-Hillsborough also at 16:00, and 16-South Brunswick facing 1-Old Bridge at 16:30.
North Jersey has a variety of thrilling matchups in Section 1, Group 4. The games include 9-Montclair against 8-West Orange at 16:00 and 14-Paterson Kennedy taking on 3-Passaic Tech, also at 16:00.
In North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1, the competition heats up with 3-Warren Hills facing 4-West Morris at 16:00 and 15-Parsippany pitted against 2-West Essex, both scheduled for the same time. Additionally, 14-Newark Collegiate will play 3-Science Park at 16:15.
South Jersey Showdowns
South Jersey’s Group 2 matches feature 13-Delran against 4-Cinnaminson at 15:45, while 9-Timber Creek faces 8-Absegami at 16:30. 15-Pleasantville will compete against 2-Cedar Creek, also at 16:30.
In Group 3 of South Jersey, 13-Lenape challenges 4-Washington Township at 16:00, while 14-Gloucester Tech takes on 3-Southern at 16:30. The games will culminate with 12-Rancocas Valley facing 5-Cherry Hill East at 17:00.
