The Radicle Bar Previews New Year’s Eve Event Ahead of Opening
UPDATE: The highly anticipated bar, The Radicle, is gearing up for a sneak preview event on New Year’s Eve, offering an exciting first look at what promises to be Logan Square’s next late-night hotspot. Set to officially open in early 2024, this all-day cocktail bar and restaurant comes from the renowned team behind Daisies, making headlines even before its debut.
The preview event will feature a vibrant atmosphere with two options: a 21-and-up cocktail party at The Radicle from 10:30 PM to 1:30 AM, including drinks, bites, and a midnight toast, or a sophisticated three-course prix fixe dinner at Daisies just down the block. This evening promises to showcase the unique blend of coastal Italian drinking culture and Midwestern hospitality that The Radicle aims to deliver.
Led by Joe Frillman, a James Beard semifinalist and chef/co-owner at Daisies, and Nicole Yarovinsky, a two-time nominee for Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards, The Radicle is already garnering attention. It has been named one of Bon Appétit’s eight must-visit restaurants this fall, solidifying its status in the culinary scene.
Designed by Debaun Studio, the interiors are warm and inviting, encouraging patrons to linger over cocktails and meals. The furniture is repurposed, aligning with Daisies’ sustainability ethos, and creating a polished yet familiar ambiance.
Cocktails will take center stage, with an Italian-inspired menu that emphasizes affordability. Signature drinks include the Sunday Negroni and a unique Sbagliato Rossini, featuring Lambrusco and strawberries. The menu will also highlight low-proof and non-alcoholic options, catering to a diverse range of preferences.
On the food front, expect a departure from Daisies with more seafood offerings. Menu highlights will include deviled eggs topped with trout roe, crispy lake perch with whitefish tonnato, and pizzas adorned with fennel sausage or summer peaches. The vegetable-driven dishes, a hallmark of Daisies, will continue to play a prominent role.
This New Year’s Eve preview not only creates buzz but also signifies a resurgence of late-night culture in Logan Square. As The Radicle prepares to open its doors, it promises to bring a fresh, affordable option for those looking to enjoy a night out, one $10 cocktail at a time.
Stay tuned for more updates as The Radicle approaches its grand opening and prepares to reshape the late-night scene in Logan Square!
