UPDATE: Just released images show a man identified as a “person of interest” in a Tucson shooting that has left two individuals in critical condition. The incident occurred earlier today, at approximately 9:30 a.m., at a Goodwill donation center located in the 7600 block of East Valencia Road, close to South Los Reales Road.

Authorities from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that both victims, who are employees at the donation center, were urgently transported to a nearby hospital. Their identities have not been publicly disclosed as local law enforcement typically releases the names of victims only after fatalities occur.

However, a GoFundMe campaign has surfaced, identifying one of the injured as Juan Cristobal Flores, a beloved part-time worker at the donation center and a University of Arizona student. The campaign emphasizes Flores’ commitment to uplifting others through music, stating, “Juan Cristobal has spent his life lifting others through music. Now, he needs our voices, our prayers, and our help.”

“Catalina United Methodist Church is shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the recent shooting involving Juan Cristobal Flores, a beloved member of our faith community,” the church expressed in a statement on Facebook.

The church highlighted that Flores has been an integral part of their community for over ten years, sharing his extraordinary voice with their Sanctuary Choir. “Juan is known among us as kind, gentle, caring, and profoundly gifted,” they added.

In a bid to locate the suspect, investigators have released several images of the person of interest along with details of a stolen vehicle connected to the case. The vehicle is described as a white 2012 Volvo XC90 with Arizona license plate number C4A8Z4. Authorities strongly advise the public not to approach either the suspect or the vehicle.

The person of interest is described as approximately six feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. Investigators urge anyone with information to come forward.

This shooting marks a troubling incident in Tucson, stirring deep concern within the community as residents rally to support the victims, particularly Juan Cristobal Flores. The impact of this event resonates far beyond the immediate tragedy, highlighting the importance of community support in times of crisis.

As investigations continue, local authorities are focused on gathering more information and apprehending the suspect. Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops.
