Veterans Day Offers: Restaurants and Retailers Show Appreciation
As Veterans Day approaches on November 11, numerous businesses across various sectors are preparing to honor active duty service members, veterans, and their families with special offers. While Veterans Day holds deep significance beyond discounts, many establishments aim to express gratitude through complimentary meals, service discounts, and exclusive retail deals.
This year’s comprehensive list includes verified offers from restaurants, retail stores, and service providers, allowing veterans and active duty personnel to enjoy a day filled with appreciation and savings.
Dining Deals for Veterans
A variety of restaurants are participating in Veterans Day promotions. For instance, Applebee’s is offering active duty and veterans a free full-size entrée from a select menu on November 11, available for dine-in only. Similarly, Denny’s will provide a free Original Grand Slam breakfast from store opening until noon. Both establishments require proof of service to redeem these offers.
Other notable dining options include Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, which will offer a free All American Burger with cheese and a classic side from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and IHOP, providing a complimentary Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the same day. Veterans can enjoy free meals or discounts at various locations, including Chicken Salad Chick, Shake Shack, and Hard Rock Cafe.
For those looking for more unique options, Fogo de Chao will provide active duty and veterans with a 50% discount off specific meals, while Starbucks will offer a free tall brewed coffee to veterans and their spouses.
Retail and Service Discounts
Several retail outlets and service providers are also joining the celebration by offering discounts and complimentary items. The Army and Air Force Exchange Service is providing various deals online and in-store through November 13. Offers include discounts on electronics, sunglasses, and tactical gear.
“We want to ensure our service members and their families feel appreciated and supported,” said a spokesperson from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.
Retailers like Walgreens are extending a 20% discount on eligible items through November 11, available at any Walgreens or Duane Reade store. Great Clips is offering a free haircut to veterans on the same day, while AutoNation is providing a 20% discount on all services in-store until November 16.
Veterans and active duty members are encouraged to check the terms and conditions of these offers, as many require proof of service and may be limited to dine-in or in-store purchases.
This initiative reflects a broader appreciation for those who have served and a recognition of their sacrifices. Businesses are encouraged to verify participation and offerings at their local establishments and to communicate any specific requirements for the discounts.
As Veterans Day approaches, this list serves as a valuable resource for those seeking to honor their commitments to service while enjoying the benefits of community support.
