Tom Sandoval Discusses Friendship Dynamics with Tom Schwartz
At BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, Tom Sandoval revealed insights about his friendship with Tom Schwartz, emphasizing that Schwartz often takes the lead behind the scenes. Sandoval expressed his thoughts during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on November 14, 2025, explaining that while Schwartz is seen as more reserved in public, he possesses a strong sense of self and leadership when the cameras are off.
“Schwartz has always had his own identity. It’s really funny that he says that because, you know, behind closed doors, Schwartz definitely wears the pants in a lot of ways,” the 43-year-old actor stated. Sandoval highlighted the depth of their bond, which has developed since their days at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR, and their joint ventures in the hospitality industry, including the establishments TomTom and Schwartz & Sandy’s.
Schwartz’s New Journey with The Valley
Schwartz recently announced his participation in the spin-off series The Valley, which he views as an opportunity to carve out his own identity. Sandoval supported this decision, mentioning the challenges they faced with their restaurant and how it impacted their friendship. “I mean, like with the restaurant and dealing with something that’s not doing well, failing constant pressure and negativity,” he explained. “It sucks, and it definitely wears on your friendship, but overall, since we’ve moved past that, it’s definitely been better.”
Sandoval expressed his excitement for Schwartz’s new role, stating, “I’m glad that he’s on there and doing his own thing and being himself. He’s got his podcast, he’s got his own voice. It’s great. I love it.” He acknowledged that while he has been uncertain about participating in The Valley, he is now more open to the idea, particularly with Schwartz and co-star Lala Kent involved.
Life After Vanderpump Rules
Reflecting on life after the reality show Vanderpump Rules, Sandoval noted the importance of privacy. He shared that he has enjoyed a more low-key lifestyle with his partner Victoria, who joined him at BravoCon. “It’s been nice, like, I get to coast and just sort of chill and meander,” he said, hinting at the possibility of a future together. “Who knows?” he quipped, suggesting that marriage might be on the horizon.
Sandoval described the atmosphere at BravoCon as filled with “great energy” and noted that he and Victoria have connected with friends from the show, including Schwartz, Teddi Mellencamp, Tamra Judge, and Brittany Cartwright. He emphasized the importance of connecting with fans, saying, “There’s so much love here, and it’s a really cool way to connect with the fans, and I love that. I love that about BravoCon.”
As both Sandoval and Schwartz navigate their careers and personal lives, their enduring friendship remains a focal point, showcasing the complexities of relationships forged in the public eye. With new opportunities on the horizon, fans of both stars are eager to see how their journeys unfold.
