UPDATE: The highly anticipated First Friday Artwalk is happening tonight in downtown Phoenix, drawing thousands of art lovers and families to celebrate creativity and culture. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m., offering a vibrant mix of galleries, food vendors, and live entertainment across two main areas: Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue.
This month’s festivities promise to be particularly exciting, with special events at major venues. Notably, the Alwun House hosts its annual First Friday With a Kink, featuring adult-themed vendors, music, and art, from 6 to 10 p.m.. Entry is just $7 for guests aged 21 and over. Meanwhile, the Children’s Museum of Phoenix offers free admission from 5 to 9 p.m., making it a perfect family outing.
The street fair atmosphere allows visitors to explore local art, enjoy food trucks, and participate in community activities. Key highlights include:
– The Phoenix Art Museum, open from 5 to 8 p.m., celebrates Black History Month with storytelling and poetry, providing free access to all attendees.
– Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center presents the works of Chicano artist José Andrés Girón from 6 to 9 p.m., showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the area.
