URGENT: Three Fires Ignite Norway, Maine; Investigations Underway
UPDATE: Authorities are investigating a series of three fires that erupted in Norway, Maine, early this morning. The first blaze was reported just before 2 a.m. Friday on Beal Street, according to Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte.
Around 2:47 a.m., a second fire ignited approximately half a mile away on Alpine Street. As emergency responders battled that blaze, they discovered a third fire nearby and swiftly alerted sleeping occupants, likely preventing further harm.
The fires remain under thorough investigation, leaving residents anxious and concerned about safety. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Department of Public Safety in Augusta at 207-624-7076.
