Millville Woman Arrested After Threatening U-Haul Worker with Baton

UPDATE: A 51-year-old woman from Millville is in police custody after an alarming incident at a U-Haul facility in Bridgeton on Monday afternoon. Authorities report that Nantonya Mangini threatened a U-Haul employee with an expandable baton at approximately 4:20 PM.

Bridgeton Police received an urgent call regarding the situation at the U-Haul store located at 825 N. Pearl Street. When officers arrived, they found Mangini brandishing the baton and refusing to comply with police orders to drop the weapon. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as Mangini attempted to walk away from the authorities while still holding the baton.

In a tense standoff, officers were eventually able to de-escalate the situation, and Mangini dropped the baton, leading to her arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to the Bridgeton Police Department.

Mangini now faces multiple charges, including obstruction of justice, terroristic threats, and weapons charges. Additionally, she is charged with refusing to allow police to fingerprint her. Currently, she is being held at the Cumberland County Jail as she awaits her court appearance.
