Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Local Figure Kurt Prondecki

Kurt T. Prondecki, a cherished member of the Erving, Massachusetts community, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025, at the age of 40. Known for his infectious laughter and generous spirit, Kurt made a significant impact on those around him, leaving a legacy of love and camaraderie.

Born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Kurt was celebrated for his humor and his ability to uplift others. His enthusiasm for life was reflected in both his professional pursuits and personal interests. A master captain on Cape Cod, he also embraced the challenges of tuna fishing and enjoyed hunting in the woods. Yet, it was his dedication to his family that defined him most.

Kurt is survived by his life partner, Trish Talley; his son, Jackson Prondecki; and his soon-to-be-born son, Jameson Prondecki. He also leaves behind his mother, Madeline Williams, and siblings Edwin Prondecki, Tonya Perkins, and Jerry Perkins. He was predeceased by his father, Edwin Prondecki.

Celebration of Life Planned

In honor of Kurt’s vibrant spirit, a celebration of life will take place at The Barn at the Farm Table in Bernardston, Massachusetts, on November 29, 2025, at 15:00. Trish has requested that attendees dress in warm colors rather than black as a tribute to Kurt’s joyous nature.

As a testament to his caring personality, the family has encouraged donations to the Toys for Tots program instead of flowers. This initiative, which supports children in need during the Christmas season, was particularly meaningful to Kurt.

Kurt Prondecki’s legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. His passion for life and love for family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
