Oregon Welcomes Top Recruits for USC Showdown as Flip Season Unfolds
Recruiting efforts in college football are heating up as Oregon prepares for a highly anticipated matchup against USC on Saturday, November 25. The Ducks are set to host a significant number of elite recruits at Autzen Stadium, with many blue-chip prospects making the journey to Eugene for this crucial game.
Among the confirmed visitors are several committed prospects from the 2026 recruiting class, including five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, four-star tight end Kendre Harrison, and four-star quarterback Brandon Beaver. Additional attendees include four-star defensive back Davon Benjamin and linebacker Tristan Phillips, along with local pledge and four-star defensive lineman Tony Cumberland.
Oregon’s recruiting reach extends beyond its state borders. Notable 2027 class recruits such as Josiah Molden, the top prospect in Oregon, and Toa Satele, the leading recruit from Hawaii, are also expected. Additionally, Sam Ngata, son of former Duck star Haloti Ngata, will be in attendance. The Ducks have a history of attracting talent from across the nation, and this weekend’s game is seen as a pivotal opportunity to showcase the program.
As Oregon aims to secure a win in their final home game, they will face competition not only on the field but also on the recruiting trail from USC. The Trojans have been increasingly active in recruiting and will look to impress the visiting prospects by disrupting Oregon’s home advantage.
Recent Commitments and Changes in Recruiting
The recruiting landscape has seen notable shifts recently, including the flipping of commitments. Oregon successfully secured three-star receiver Hudson Lewis, who originally committed to Utah after a brief stint with Washington State. Lewis, a childhood fan of the Ducks, is expected to contribute to Oregon’s future offensive lineup.
In a separate development, three-star running back Jayden Fox has committed to UNLV after previously pledging to UConn. Fox, who was the top running back in Colorado, felt at home during his official visit to UNLV, which ultimately influenced his decision.
Arizona’s Rising Talent and Competition
The state of Arizona is witnessing a surge in talent, particularly within the 2028 recruiting class. A standout is four-star edge rusher Jalanie George, currently ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the country. Alongside him, four-star receiver Roye Oliver III is gaining attention; he is a legacy player with strong ties to Arizona State, where his father played.
Despite the familial connection to ASU, Oliver will be visiting Arizona this weekend as they host Baylor in their home finale. His visit is expected to attract several teammates, including defensive backs Keaton Fields and Kacey Allen, as well as Oliver’s younger brother, Roman. Arizona aims to capitalize on this opportunity to strengthen their recruiting efforts against their in-state rival.
The trend of West Coast talent moving to other regions continues, as evidenced by junior Mikyal Davis, a top-10 prospect from Arizona, who recently committed to Oklahoma. He is the third recruit from the West in the 2027 class to choose the Sooners, with others like four-star edge Krew Jones from Utah and linebacker Taven Epps from Southern California also projected to head to Norman.
As recruiting season progresses, the upcoming matchups and visits will play a critical role in shaping the future of college football programs across the nation. The excitement surrounding Oregon’s game against USC is not just about the teams on the field, but also about the potential impact on the next generation of college athletes.
