The investigation into the mysterious death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas continues to unfold, raising numerous questions surrounding her disappearance and subsequent discovery. Rivas went missing in Lake Elsinore in 2024, and her remains were recently found in a Tesla that had been impounded and registered to the singer D4vd. The circumstances surrounding her death, as well as the nature of her relationship with D4vd, remain largely unclear.

According to reports from TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department has seized surveillance footage that could provide critical insights into the case. This footage was obtained from security cameras at the Hollywood Hills residence where D4vd was renting until just a few weeks ago. The homeowner, Malden Trifunovic, indicated that the external cameras could potentially reveal the identity of anyone who entered or exited the property.

Trifunovic has stated that he has not viewed the footage, as he did not have access to the cameras during the rental period to protect the privacy of his tenants. Consequently, he cannot confirm whether Rivas was ever at the house.

Ongoing Investigation and Private Inquiry

The news regarding the seizure of the surveillance footage comes shortly after Trifunovic disclosed that he has engaged a private investigator to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding Rivas’ death. “Our private investigator’s work is still ongoing, and I don’t have any findings to share at this time,” Trifunovic explained. “It’s still early in the process, and I want to respect both the LAPD’s investigation and the memory of the victim.”

As the investigation progresses, the LAPD has remained tight-lipped, offering limited information to the public. When queried about Trifunovic’s private investigator, the police reiterated, “This is an ongoing investigation. Once additional information is available to share with the public, it will be released by the Media Relations Division.” They also encouraged anyone with relevant information to contact either the Robbery-Homicide Division or LA Crime Stoppers.

At this moment, D4vd has not been officially named a suspect in the investigation, which continues to captivate public interest and concern. The tragic nature of Rivas’ death and the unanswered questions surrounding it underscore the importance of transparency and thorough investigation in such sensitive cases.
