Scientology Rings in 2026 with Record Achievements and Celebrations
On January 1, 2026, over 6,500 attendees gathered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles to celebrate the New Year with the Church of Scientology. The event highlighted significant achievements from 2025 and set the stage for an ambitious year ahead. The ceremony featured a blend of reflection and optimism, underlining the organization’s commitment to expansion and community service.
Celebrating Achievements of 2025
During the evening, David Miscavige, the ecclesiastical leader of Scientology, emphasized the unique perspective the Church holds toward time and accomplishment. “For most of the world, New Year’s is something they wait for,” he said, contrasting the traditional countdown with the proactive approach of Scientologists.
Key highlights from 2025 included the continued growth of the Scientology Network, which has achieved 11 times its initial viewership since its launch, garnering over 170 awards for excellence in various categories. Furthermore, enrollment in online courses surpassed one million students, marking a record milestone for the organization.
The year witnessed a series of Grand Openings that reflect the Church’s commitment to expanding its presence globally. Notably, a new Ideal Org was inaugurated in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, a ten-story facility that stands as a significant addition to the Nelson Mandela Bay skyline. Other landmark sites include locations in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Phoenix, Arizona, and Harare, Zimbabwe, each meticulously restored to honor the legacy of L. Ron Hubbard.
Community Impact and Humanitarian Efforts
The celebration also showcased the Church’s ongoing humanitarian efforts through various programs aimed at addressing pressing societal issues. The Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE) has made strides in combating drug abuse and illiteracy. In Sonora, Mexico, a government-sponsored Narconon rehabilitation center has provided over 100,000 hours of rehabilitation since its inception, expanding its services to include a dedicated wing for women.
In Kenya, initiatives based on The Way to Happiness have significantly reduced crime and recidivism rates, while in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the integration of Applied Scholastics has led to remarkable educational improvements, advancing students by three grade levels within a year.
Moreover, the World Institute of Scientology Enterprises (WISE) reported impressive successes in various sectors. A Scottish entrepreneur revitalized a failing gutter cleaning business in the UK, increasing its operations significantly and establishing it as the leading service in the country. Similarly, in Colombia, a logistics expert streamlined operations to reduce delivery times dramatically, helping his company become the foremost logistics operator in the region.
In Japan, an educator introduced Dianetics to combat stress and anxiety, earning recognition from local officials for her contributions to the community.
Future Endeavors and Upcoming Projects
The evening concluded with an announcement of future developments, including the upcoming Ideal Org in Puerto Rico, set to be the first of its kind in the Caribbean. This project is expected to enhance the Church’s outreach efforts in the region and was met with excitement from attendees.
During the celebration, over 240 Scientologists were honored for their contributions in helping others progress in their spiritual journeys, with a remarkable 12 individuals recognized as Elite Field Staff Members for assisting over 1,000 people each on their path to Total Freedom in 2025.
Miscavige concluded the night by announcing a new broadcast message, set to premiere during Super Bowl LX and the World Cup in 2026. This initiative aims to reach a broader audience than ever before, reinforcing the Church’s commitment to sharing its message globally.
As the celebration came to a close, attendees reflected on the achievements of the past year, inspired to carry forward the momentum into 2026. Miscavige encapsulated the spirit of the evening, saying, “If every Scientologist here tonight moves forward with the certainty of LRH, then there is no distance we cannot close, no barrier we cannot break and no future beyond our reach.”
