Cupertino Names Tina Kapoor Permanent City Manager in Unanimous Vote

Kapoor brings nearly 25 years of experience in local government, having previously held key positions in San José, Fremont, and Cupertino. Her extensive background includes serving as Cupertino’s interim assistant city manager, deputy city manager, and economic development manager. Notably, she was recognized as a Woman of Influence in Silicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2015 for her leadership in economic development initiatives.

As the first Indian American to hold this position in Cupertino, Kapoor’s appointment is a historic milestone for the city. She immigrated to the United States from India in 1999, embodying the diverse fabric of the community she now leads.
