Several businesses in the Mid-Hudson Valley are set to celebrate significant milestones this week, including grand openings and community gatherings. Notable events include the re-opening of The Pines Catskill and the opening of Kestrel, both taking place on October 28, 2025.

The Pines Catskill will host its ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand re-opening at 11 a.m. at 154 Jefferson Heights, Catskill. Interested attendees are required to RSVP to Jess Davis by calling (845) 338-5100, ext. 4. This event marks a revitalization for the venue, which aims to enhance community engagement and visitor experience.

Later that same day, Kestrel will hold its own ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m., located at 21 O’Neil St., Kingston. Similar to The Pines, potential guests must contact Jess Davis to confirm their attendance.

On October 29, 2025, the Ulster Chamber will conduct a breakfast meeting from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Venue Uptown, situated at 503 Washington Ave., Kingston. The meeting will feature guest speaker John Milgrim, the director of external affairs for the Bureau of Water Supply with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. This event will cost $35 for chamber members who register in advance, $40 for members at the door, and $45 for non-members. For registration or details, attendees can visit https://bit.ly/4o7wpU0.

Local businesses and event organizers are encouraged to submit their events for inclusion in the Freeman’s business calendar. Submissions should be sent via email to [email protected], including the event’s time, date, location, description, associated costs, and registration information.

These events not only showcase the growth of local businesses but also foster community connections in the Mid-Hudson Valley region.
