Hikvision Launches Installer Partner Initiative to Enhance Social Good
Hikvision has marked the fifth anniversary of its STAR Program for Social Good with the launch of a new Installer Partner Initiative. This initiative, unveiled on October 22, 2025, aims to invite more installer partners to collaborate on impactful social good projects. The STAR Program is a crucial element of Hikvision’s commitment to sustainability, encapsulated in its motto, “Sustainability through Technology, Actions for Responsibility.”
Since its inception on October 23, 2020, the STAR Program has focused on providing advanced AIoT technologies, products, and solutions to support non-profit organizations in their efforts to benefit communities, nature, and culture. To date, Hikvision has partnered with over 30 non-profits across 14 countries and regions.
The company recognizes the complexities faced in installation environments, which often challenge the success of these projects. Many of these sites are located in remote areas, including plateaus, oceans, and forests, demanding high technical proficiency for effective installation. A notable project is the glacial lake monitoring and protection initiative, in collaboration with the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research. This project required teams to install monitoring devices under extreme weather conditions in the Himalayas, illustrating the technical demands inherent in STAR initiatives.
In response to these challenges, Hikvision has launched the Installer Partner Initiative to strengthen its STAR Program. The initiative seeks to recruit global installers with the technical expertise necessary to navigate these demanding environments. According to Merida Shen, the initiator of the STAR Program for Social Good, “Although some NGOs can rely on their IT teams to install cameras, most of them still lack this professional skill. That’s why we launch this Initiative, calling for installer partners to join us in this meaningful journey and together create a better world.”
The Installer Partner Initiative emphasizes collaboration, aiming to enhance the capabilities of participating partners while delivering social value. This call to action invites installers who are committed to social good to contribute their skills towards meaningful projects.
“We look forward to advancing co-creation with our installer partners,” Ms. Shen added. “Together, we build a better world and THRIVE for a better future.”
