Charlie Puth Joins Star-Studded Lineup for Brazil’s Global Citizen Festival
Charlie Puth is set to perform at the Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia in Brazil on November 1, 2024. This highly anticipated event will take place at the Estádio Olímpico in Belém, Pará, and aims to address pressing environmental issues affecting the Amazon rainforest. Puth joins an impressive lineup that includes Brazilian artists Anitta, Seu Jorge, Gilberto Gil, and Gaby Amarantos, along with Chris Martin of Coldplay and others.
According to an exclusive report by Billboard, Puth expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, stating, “I’m honored to be part of such an important cause for our planet and can’t wait to see you on November 1st.” The festival aims to amplify the voices of indigenous peoples and local communities, focusing on raising $1 billion to protect, restore, and rewild the Amazon rainforest.

In addition to the main performances, Brazilian singer Vivi Batidão will open the festival with a pre-show. Presenters for the event include Regina Casé, Mel Fronckowiak, Hugo Gloss, and Isabelle Nogueira. Celebrities such as Rodrigo Santoro and Estevão Ciavatta are also expected to make appearances throughout the day.
The festival is designed to have a zero carbon footprint, aligning with Global Citizen’s mission to promote sustainability and environmental protection. The event will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. ET and will also be available on Globo across Brazil, allowing audiences to participate virtually.
