Central Lakes Raiders Suffer Crushing 72-47 Loss to NDSCS
URGENT UPDATE: The Central Lakes College Raiders faced a devastating defeat at home, losing 72-47 to the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) on Saturday, November 29, 2023. This loss marks a tough moment for the Raiders as they struggle to find momentum in their season.
In a game dominated by NDSCS, Maggie Westling emerged as the standout performer, leading all scorers with an impressive 23 points. She was closely followed by teammate Ava Boyes, who added 21 points to secure the victory for the Wildcats.
The Raiders had strong contributions from Lex Vesel and Alyssa Wright, both of whom finished with 15 points each. Wright also showcased her rebounding skills, grabbing 17 rebounds off the bench. However, it was not enough to overcome the Wildcats’ offensive onslaught.
The scoring breakdown for NDSCS was as follows: North Dakota State put up 19, 12, 27, and 14 points in the four quarters, while Central Lakes managed 6, 16, 18, and just 7 points in a dismal final quarter.
As the Raiders look to regroup, they will host the Minnesota State Community and Technical College on Tuesday, December 2, at 5:30 p.m. This upcoming game will be crucial for the Raiders as they aim to turn their season around and build some much-needed confidence.
