BREAKING: A New London man has been found guilty of multiple serious charges, including robbery and firearms offenses, in a shocking 2023 carjacking incident. A jury at the New London Superior Court convicted 32-year-old Victor Hall on October 27, 2023, confirming his involvement in first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, and criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges.

The crime unfolded on March 10, 2023, when officers from the New London Police Department responded to reports of a carjacking. Authorities quickly notified nearby jurisdictions. When officers from the Waterford Police Department spotted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen car, they initiated a stop. Hall, however, fled, leading police on a dangerous pursuit that ended when he crashed the vehicle.

After the crash, Hall attempted to escape on foot but was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement. A firearm was recovered from the scene, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

Paul J. Narducci, State’s Attorney for the New London Judicial District, expressed gratitude for the collaboration between law enforcement agencies, stating, “The hard work of the New London and Waterford Police Departments, along with the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Division of Scientific Services, was crucial in this case.”

The presiding judge, Elizabeth C. Leaming, has scheduled Hall’s sentencing for January 28, 2026, in New London Superior Court. This case underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating violent crimes in communities.

Residents are urged to stay updated on this developing story as more details emerge. The conviction serves as a reminder of the vital role police play in ensuring public safety.
