Thanksgiving Meals Available NOW Across Boulder County

URGENT UPDATE: This Thanksgiving, local organizations across Boulder County are offering free meals to those in need, ensuring that everyone has a chance to celebrate the holiday. With multiple locations serving traditional Thanksgiving staples, residents are encouraged to take part in these community events happening today, November 23, 2023.

At OUR Center in Longmont, a free Thanksgiving lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 220 Collyer St.. This annual event is a staple for the community, providing nourishment and warmth to everyone who attends.

In Boulder, Second Baptist Church is hosting Thanksgiving meals at two locations. Guests can enjoy a traditional meal starting at 8:30 a.m. at 1212 Canyon Blvd. and again at 9 a.m. at 5300 Baseline Road. In addition to the meals, those experiencing homelessness can receive clothes and essential supplies at both sites.

The Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center at 2855 Folsom St. is inviting the community to its annual Thanksgiving potluck dinner from noon to 4 p.m.. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share, fostering a sense of togetherness and celebration among neighbors.

Moreover, the Louisville Turkey Trot is set to kick off at 9 a.m. near Walnut and Front streets. This event not only promotes physical activity but also benefits Community Food Share, with refreshments such as hot chocolate and coffee available for participants after the race.

Lastly, the Niwot Community Connection will host a Thanksgiving potluck meal from 1 to 4 p.m. at Niwot Hall, located at 195 Second Ave.. This gathering emphasizes community spirit and the sharing of food and fellowship.
