Lovet Pet Health Care Expands with Fourth Clinic in Grand Rapids
Lovet Pet Health Care has announced the grand opening of its fourth veterinary clinic in West Michigan, located at 1935 Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids. This expansion follows the opening of its first local hospital in April 2023 at 4290 Lake Michigan Drive NW in Standale. Since its debut, Lovet has already treated over 2,200 pets and welcomed 1,900 new pet owners. The Arizona-based clinic has rapidly opened two additional facilities in Walker and Grand Rapids since mid-October, reflecting the growing demand for veterinary services in the region.
Meeting Community Needs with Compassionate Care
According to Courtney Gruber, President of Lovet Pet Health Care, Grand Rapids has quickly emerged as one of the company’s most vibrant and rapidly developing markets. “That deep connection is exactly why we’re continuing to expand here: to make high-quality, compassionate veterinary care easier to access for every pet-loving family in West Michigan,” Gruber stated.
A recent survey from Lovet’s 2025 Checkup Report indicated that approximately 86% of pet owners across the United States, and 87% in Michigan, believe that pet ownership positively influences their mental and emotional well-being. However, the report also highlighted a financial concern, revealing that 44% of Michigan pet owners have postponed or avoided veterinary care due to rising costs.
To address these challenges, Lovet Pet Health Care has implemented several cost-saving initiatives aimed at easing the financial burden of pet care. Every new client receives a free initial exam, and the clinic is committed to offering various affordable treatment options.
Local Job Opportunities and Community Engagement
As part of its expansion, Lovet is actively hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff across all four West Michigan locations, creating around 50 local jobs. Interested candidates can apply through the company’s website at careers.lovet.com.
In line with its commitment to community outreach, Lovet partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan as the pet first aid tent sponsor at the recent Humane Hustle 5K & Walk. This event encouraged pet owners to assemble their own first aid kits, promoting Lovet’s mission to enhance pet care education and preparedness among West Michigan families.
Lovet Pet Health Care, previously known as AZPetVet, began as a network of 23 animal hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona, and has since expanded its reach to include locations in Chicago and now Grand Rapids. This growth reflects the organization’s dedication to providing accessible veterinary care as it continues to adapt to the needs of pet owners across the country.
