Community Mourns the Loss of Beloved Andrew D. Klusaritz

The community is mourning the loss of Andrew “Andy/Ace” Klusaritz, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 73. Surrounded by his loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Klusaritz was remembered for his joyful spirit and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Born on April 15, 1952, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Klusaritz was the son of the late Edward C. Sr. and Anna Kovalchick. He resided in North Whitehall Township for most of his life. Following the passing of his parents, he was cared for by his siblings for over two decades before spending his final years at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown.

Klusaritz’s life was characterized by resilience and a passion for family, work, and sports. Despite being born with intellectual disabilities, he led a fulfilling life, contributing to the community through his employment at VIA and Weis Markets. He also enjoyed helping his father and brothers on the family farm, which was a source of pride and connection for him.

His enthusiasm for sports was evident, with a special fondness for the Parkland Trojans, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Klusaritz could often be found cheering for his teams, embodying the spirit of a true sports fan.

In addition to his love for sports, he found joy in simple pleasures such as good food, drinks, and the occasional cigar. Klusaritz particularly enjoyed attending country concerts and farm sales, as well as watching engaging shows, including the popular Lifetime dramas. Family gatherings were especially important to him, and he cherished the time spent with his siblings, nieces, and nephews, creating lasting memories during vacations and celebrations.

Klusaritz is survived by his devoted siblings: brothers Edward C. Jr. (Doris), Charles (Maureen), Dennis E. (Louise), and sisters Barbara A. Miller (Thomas) and Ann Marie (Ted). He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, including Matt, Patrick, Lonny, DJ, Dylan, Melissa, Stacey, and KimberlyFuneral Arrangements and Memorial Contributions

A Catholic prayer service honoring Klusaritz will be held on Friday, December 19, at 10:00 a.m. at the Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. that morning. Interment will follow at Assumption BVM Cemetery in Northampton.
