Alex Marlow Discusses Lawfare Against Trump in C-SPAN Interview
Alex Marlow, the Editor-in-Chief of Breitbart News, recently appeared on C-SPAN to discuss his book, Breaking the Law, which investigates the use of legal tactics against former President Donald Trump and his supporters. The interview, part of C-SPAN’s author series, explored the concept of lawfare, which Marlow argues is being deployed by political adversaries to undermine Trump’s influence and manipulate electoral outcomes.
Marlow’s book, compiled over more than a year, outlines the alleged left-wing takeover of the justice system in the United States. He contends that this strategy aims to rig elections in favor of the Democratic Party. “The effort to disqualify President Trump by any means necessary by the legal elite in coordination with Joe Biden’s White House is the scandal of the century,” Marlow stated during the interview. He emphasized that the legal battles Trump faces are not merely judicial but politically motivated.
In his discussion with host Kimberly Adams, Marlow highlighted the challenges he faced in gaining media attention for his book. He noted that C-SPAN was one of the few mainstream outlets to feature his work, despite its recognition from Trump as a “must read.” The book has also garnered praise from notable figures such as Stephen K. Bannon and Bill O’Reilly, indicating its resonance within conservative circles.
During the hour-long segment, which featured no commercial interruptions, Marlow responded to questions from a diverse audience, including Democrats, Republicans, and political independents. This format, he remarked, fosters an environment conducive to open debate. He argued that the six major legal cases against Trump were politically charged and outlined how the Biden Justice Department allegedly weaponized the legal system against the former president without facing repercussions.
Marlow’s criticisms extended to several prominent figures, including James Comey and Hillary Clinton, whom he accuses of participating in or benefiting from lawfare tactics. “This book will change the trajectory of the country if everyone reads it — so I sincerely hope you do,” he asserted, urging the public to engage with his findings.
In addition to his book promotion, Marlow has recently been appointed to host a national radio show for the Salem Radio Network, set to launch on January 5, 2024. His podcast will also expand, offering eight episodes per week, further amplifying his outreach.
The discussion on C-SPAN not only highlighted the themes of Marlow’s book but also showcased the ongoing tension in American politics over the use of legal systems as a tool for political gain. As these debates continue, Marlow’s insights may offer a provocative perspective on the intersection of law and politics in contemporary America.
