Tehama County Cattlemen Host 73rd Annual Winter Dinner on January 10

The Tehama County Cattlemen and CattleWomen are set to host their 73rd annual winter dinner on January 10, 2025, marking a significant occasion for local agricultural enthusiasts. This year’s event will take place at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge, located at 355 Gilmore Rd., Red Bluff. The doors open at 17:30, with dinner scheduled to begin at 18:30.

The relocation of the dinner is a result of the ongoing District 1 California High School Rodeo taking place at the Tehama District Fairgrounds. Organizers opted for this venue to avoid potential complications related to parking due to wet weather conditions.

During the evening, the Tehama County Cattlemen will honor their Cattleman of the Year while also raising funds for various agricultural scholarships offered by their group and the CattleWomen. The CattleWomen will recognize their own, presenting the CattleWomen’s Cowbell of the Year award. Additionally, recipients of the group’s scholarships for 2025 will be acknowledged.

Attendees can expect a hearty meal featuring prime rib, prepared by Mike Collins and his team, accompanied by baked potatoes, traditional green beans, and salad. A no-host bar will also be available for guests.

The evening will include both live and silent auctions, showcasing popular items generously donated by local sponsors. Tickets are priced at $50 in advance or $55 at the door. They can be purchased from several local businesses, including Hawes Ranch and Farm Supply, Red Bluff Round-up Mercantile, Plumas Bank in Red Bluff, Shasta Farm and Equipment in Cottonwood, and McCoy’s Hardware in Corning.

This annual dinner not only serves as an important social gathering but also plays a critical role in supporting the agricultural community by funding scholarships that help cultivate future leaders in the industry.
