UPDATE: Tech moguls Larry Page, Jeff Bezos, and Sergey Brin are on the verge of joining the exclusive $300 billion club as their fortunes surge amid the booming AI market. As of the latest data, each tech leader is rapidly approaching this milestone, with Page worth $281 billion and Brin at $261 billion, representing a staggering increase in wealth.

The latest figures reveal that Page and Brin have added $101 billion and $92 billion respectively to their fortunes in 2025, making them the year’s top wealth gainers after Elon Musk. With the new year underway, they have already gained another $12 billion and $11 billion this month alone, as investors flock to their companies amidst rising enthusiasm for AI advancements.

Investors are particularly bullish on Alphabet, whose shares skyrocketed 65% last year and have risen an additional 4.5% in 2026. Meanwhile, Bezos has seen his wealth climb from $239 billion at the start of 2025 to $268 billion as of the latest close, buoyed by a 6% increase in Amazon’s stock this year.

In this rapidly shifting landscape, Musk remains the wealthiest individual, boasting a net worth of $639 billion after a $165 billion increase last year fueled by Tesla’s growth. Notably, Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, briefly surpassed Musk last September but has since seen his wealth dip to $251 billion due to cooling investor interest in Oracle’s AI potential.

The broader picture shows that there are currently 18 centibillionaires—individuals with net worths exceeding $100 billion. Collectively, these elite figures gained $708 billion in 2025, pushing their total wealth to $3.6 trillion, surpassing even the market capitalization of giants like Microsoft.

Among this select group, seven individuals, including Musk, Page, Bezos, Brin, Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, and Bernard Arnault of LVMH, have personal fortunes above $200 billion. All but Arnault hold significant stakes in leading AI firms, which have seen explosive growth amid a flurry of partnerships and optimistic forecasts.

Investment experts like Ross Gerber and Kevin O’Leary assert that AI is poised to enhance productivity and corporate profits. However, critics, including Michael Burry, caution that overinvestment in technology infrastructure could lead to a precarious bubble that may burst in the future.

As the tech industry continues to evolve, all eyes are on these billionaires and their companies, with the stakes higher than ever. Will they breach the $300 billion threshold? Stay tuned as this story develops.
