Warriors Extend Win Streak with Commanding Victory Over Eagles
The Brookwood Warriors achieved a decisive victory over the Terrell Academy Eagles, winning by a score of 73-33 on January 14, 2026. This victory marks the Warriors’ ninth consecutive win, solidifying their undefeated status in regional play. The game showcased a dominant performance, especially from key players, who executed a well-rounded game plan.
The match began with both teams exchanging baskets, leading to a tie midway through the first quarter. A three-pointer from David Flowers put the Warriors ahead, quickly followed by a layup from the Eagles to narrow the gap. Roscoe Jones then assisted Jack Tyson, who scored from close range to extend the Warriors’ lead. Jackson Thorne added to the momentum with a three-pointer, pushing the advantage to six points.
As the first quarter progressed, the Eagles managed to convert an and-one opportunity, bringing the lead back to three. However, Harrison Chapura’s layup with just over a minute left in the quarter established a five-point lead for Brookwood. A free throw from Terrell cut the margin slightly, but Jones responded with a basket, concluding the quarter with the Warriors ahead 17-11.
In the second quarter, the Warriors continued to build on their momentum. Jordyn Jean started the scoring with a jumper, followed by a three-pointer from the elbow courtesy of Will Stevens, extending the lead to eleven points. Brookwood’s defense thwarted the Eagles’ efforts, leading to forced turnovers and bad shots. Jones dominated the post, contributing three consecutive dunks, with two stemming from steals.
Despite a late three-pointer from Terrell, Levi Williams quickly answered with one of his own, pushing the lead to 16 as the teams entered halftime. The Warriors went into the locker room with a commanding advantage.
Upon resuming play, Brookwood’s hot shooting continued. Jones kicked off the second half with another three-pointer, followed by a layup from Chapura, marking the Warriors’ largest lead of the game at 21 points. A timeout was called by Terrell after Jones made a third consecutive three-pointer, further highlighting Brookwood’s offensive prowess.
As the quarter advanced, Thomas Lee assisted Henry Knox for a layup, bringing the Warriors’ lead to an impressive 31 points. Although Terrell managed a late three-pointer, the Eagles struggled to establish a run, trailing by 28 points heading into the final quarter.
The final quarter saw Williams opening the scoring with a layup, while Lee added a mid-range jumper. Despite Terrell’s determination and a further three-pointer, it was not enough to overcome Brookwood’s substantial lead. The game concluded with the Warriors securing a comfortable victory.
Next, the Warriors will face Maclay in a non-region contest on January 15, 2026, at 19:30, continuing their pursuit of excellence this season.
