Urgent: Man Killed in Foggy Collision with Semi-Truck Near Fresno

UPDATE: A tragic accident has claimed the life of a man following a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck in Fresno County early today. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM on Clovis Avenue near Highway 99, where dense fog severely impacted visibility.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi-truck was traveling north on Clovis Avenue when the driver attempted to turn near Golden State Boulevard. At that moment, the pickup truck, heading south on Golden State, crashed into the semi. The force of the impact resulted in the pickup truck becoming lodged beneath the semi’s trailer.

Witnesses reported seeing flames and black smoke billowing from the wreckage, as the truck and trailer caught fire shortly after the collision. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the driver of the pickup truck succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
