Team members at Wayne-Sanderson Farms’ Moultrie Complex have pledged nearly $93,000 to support the programs of United Way of Colquitt County as part of the 2025 employee giving campaign. This significant contribution includes over $75,000 in individual employee donations, alongside a corporate contribution of $17,000 from the company, reflecting its ongoing commitment to community support.

The funds will aid various initiatives aimed at enhancing education, health, and financial stability within the region. According to a press release from Wayne-Sanderson Farms, this collaboration aligns with the company’s mission to improve the lives of residents in Colquitt County.

Community Impact and Long-Standing Support

Keisly Exum, assistant human resources manager at the Moultrie Complex and a member of the 2025 United Way Board, emphasized the importance of this partnership. “We are proud of our partnership with United Way and the lasting impact it has had in our community,” Exum stated. “Our team members continue to demonstrate their generosity and compassion year after year, and this campaign reflects how deeply they care about supporting our neighbors in need.”

The Moultrie Complex has a robust history of supporting United Way, having contributed to the organization for two decades. The complex consistently ranks among the top local contributors, with previous annual contributions exceeding $100,000 through a combination of employee donations and corporate matching gifts.

Caroline Horne, executive director of United Way of Colquitt County, highlighted the significance of such long-term partnerships. “As executive director, I have the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact of long-term partnerships.
