St. Johns County Library Celebrates Reading with Silent Disco Finale

The St. Johns County Public Library System is hosting a unique silent disco today, marking the conclusion of its popular annual program, St. Johns Reads. Taking place at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s Front Porch, this event promises an engaging evening of music and dance, featuring silent disco technology that delivers sound through Hush Hush wireless headphones.

The disco is divided into two distinct sessions. A family-friendly dance will run from 18:00 to 19:30, followed by an 18-and-over session from 20:00 to 21:30. This year’s theme revolves around the book An Immense World by Ed Yong, which delves into the fascinating ways animals experience their surroundings.

The event is free to attend, with food and beverages available for purchase from onsite vendors. Funding is provided by the library system, along with contributions from the Friends of the Library groups and the St. Johns Cultural Council.
