Signage at the protest prominently featured images of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of former Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Pahlavi has positioned himself as a potential leader in a post-Khamenei Iran, which resonates with many protestors seeking change. “I think it’s anyone’s guess on what actually happens next,” Moshasha remarked. Nilo Farmojab, draped in the pre-revolutionary flag, expressed her gratitude for the military strikes, describing them as a “rescue mission.” She asserted, “The people of Iran, bare handed, would never be able to fight against the regime.” Farmojab claimed that Iranians would be willing to accept casualties if it meant achieving a new government.
