New reports confirm that the Boston Celtics delivered a stunning performance, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 108-81 on Monday night in Milwaukee, marking the return of star player Giannis Antetokounmpo from injury. The Celtics’ Payton Pritchard led the charge with an impressive 25 points, while rookie Hugo González achieved career highs with 18 points and 16 rebounds.

This significant victory highlights the Celtics’ dominance, as they have now won three consecutive games and seven out of their last eight. The team showcased exceptional teamwork, with both Pritchard and Derrick White contributing nine assists each. Despite returning to the court, Antetokounmpo struggled to find his rhythm, recording 19 points and 11 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play after missing time due to a right calf strain sustained on January 23, 2025.

Milwaukee, who went 8-7 during Antetokounmpo’s absence, now faces challenges as they have lost their last three games, all by margins of at least 23 points. The Bucks currently hold a 15-16 record with Antetokounmpo compared to 11-18 without him.

The Celtics, however, played without five-time All-Star Jaylen Brown due to illness, and they also rested Neemias Queta, who scored a career-high 27 points in a previous game against the Philadelphia 76ers. González, making only his third start, stepped up impressively in Brown’s absence.

Boston took control of the game early, executing a remarkable 24-5 run that turned a 15-14 deficit into a commanding 38-20 lead. By halftime, the Celtics held a firm 57-43 advantage. Although the Bucks managed to close the gap to nine points early in the second half, the Celtics quickly responded with a surge of 15 consecutive points.

Looking ahead, the Celtics will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the struggling Bucks are set to face the Atlanta Hawks at home the same day. Fans eagerly await the next chapter in this unfolding season, as both teams navigate through pivotal moments.
