Urgent: Newsom’s Office Accused of Ignoring Family’s Pleas

BREAKING: New reports reveal that California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office may have misled the public regarding outreach from the family of Dalilah Coleman, a young girl severely injured by an illegal truck driver. Despite claims of no records, phone logs obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) indicate that Dalilah’s father, Marcus Coleman, reached out just days after the tragic incident.

On June 20, 2024, Dalilah, only 5 years old, was involved in a devastating multi-car collision in San Bernardino County, California. The crash, caused by Partap Singh, an illegal migrant truck driver, left her unable to walk, talk, or eat normally. After months of hospital treatment, Dalilah’s family is advocating for justice and safety reforms.

According to the call logs, Coleman contacted Newsom’s office on June 25, hoping for assistance. He stated, “I left a message or they transferred me to somebody where I left a message,” emphasizing the need for a response. However, Newsom’s office has repeatedly claimed no record of such outreach.

“What happened to Dalilah is heartbreaking,” said a Newsom spokesperson, reiterating that they would welcome the opportunity to connect the family with resources despite contradicting evidence. This statement has raised questions about transparency and accountability within the governor’s office.

The incident has escalated into a political issue, highlighting the risks of illegal migrant truckers on American highways. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that Singh unlawfully entered the U.S. in October 2022 and was released under the Biden administration. The trucking company involved has been identified as a “chameleon carrier,” notorious for evading regulations by frequently changing its identity.

In response to the tragedy, former President Donald Trump invited the Coleman family to his State of the Union address in February, where he announced intentions to pass “Dalilah’s Law.” This proposed legislation aims to prohibit states from granting commercial licenses to illegal migrants. Trump stated,

“The driver was an illegal alien let in by Joe Biden and given a commercial driver’s license by open borders politicians.”

Following this, Indiana GOP Senator Jim Banks introduced the bill, which would require states to remove illegal migrant truckers to qualify for federal funding. Coleman has been actively collaborating with Banks, urging lawmakers to support the legislation.

“If you oppose this bill, come see what my daughter is going through,” Coleman challenged. His emotional plea underscores the human impact of policy decisions and the urgency to address the issue of illegal migrant truckers.

The political implications are significant, as Newsom, a potential contender for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, faces mounting scrutiny. As this situation develops, the focus remains on how the governor’s office will respond to the growing demands for accountability and legislative reform.

Stay tuned for updates on this urgent issue that could shape future transportation policies and immigrant regulations across the country.
