IHOP and Applebee’s are set to enhance their presence in San Antonio with a new dual-branded restaurant opening in the spring of 2026. This establishment will be located at 3820 Broadway in the Oak Park area, marking another significant addition to the community’s dining landscape.

Construction Timeline and Investment Details

According to a recently filed permit, construction on this new 5,003 square foot venue is scheduled to commence in December of this year, with completion anticipated by the end of April 2026. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $350,000.

Dine Brands, the parent company of both restaurant chains, has confirmed the new location. Jim Darby, a representative from Dine Brands, stated that while the new site is on the way, specific details regarding the opening date remain undisclosed. This new venue will join multiple existing IHOP and Applebee’s locations in San Antonio, many of which are operated by franchisee Danny Hakim.

Menu and Concept Overview

The dual-concept restaurant aims to combine the best offerings from both IHOP and Applebee’s, providing a diverse menu for diners. According to the Dine Brands website, customers can expect a mix of popular items from both eateries, catering to a wide range of tastes.

Earlier in 2023, Dine Brands launched its first dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP restaurant in Seguin, Texas. This strategy is part of a broader initiative to enhance sales and reduce operational costs. The new Oak Park location is expected to follow a similar model, appealing to families and individuals looking for varied dining options.

As the construction progresses, more information regarding the opening and specifics of the menu will likely emerge. The San Antonio community can look forward to the arrival of this new IHOP and Applebee’s location, expected to become a popular dining destination.
