Urgent: Worker Crushed by Burial Vault at Dallas Funeral Home

UPDATE: A tragic accident at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas has left a worker dead after being crushed by a burial vault on October 21, 2025. The incident unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. when emergency services were called to the location at 13005 Greenville Ave.

Dallas Fire-Rescue officials reported that when crews arrived, they found the man pinned from the waist down by the heavy vault. The initial response team utilized specialized equipment, including spreaders and air bags, to lift the vault, a process reminiscent of extricating victims from vehicle accidents.

Despite immediate medical attention, the worker, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, succumbed to his injuries shortly after 5 p.m.. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital with serious lower body injuries, but he could not be saved.
