The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has renewed its contracts with TakeCare Insurance Company Inc. for the Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB) and Postal Service Health Benefit (PSHB) programs for the year 2026. This announcement, made in a media release by TakeCare, confirms the company’s role as the primary health insurance provider for federal civilian employees, retirees, and their families in the region.

TakeCare has highlighted its commitment to maintaining high performance standards, as set by the OPM and the U.S. Office of the Inspector General. “We are honored that the Office of Personnel Management has once again placed their trust in TakeCare to serve federal members for 2026,” said Arvin Lojo, health plan administrator at TakeCare. He noted that the company has provided comprehensive health care solutions for over 40 years.

Comprehensive Health Insurance Options

For the upcoming year, TakeCare will offer three comprehensive benefit plan options, including a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) that features an affordable biweekly self-only payroll deduction of just $17.80 for FEHB participants and $15.52 for PSHB participants. This HDHP option qualifies for participation in a health savings account, which includes a monthly contribution from TakeCare to assist members with out-of-pocket expenses.

The provider network associated with TakeCare is significant, encompassing facilities such as Guam Memorial Hospital, Guam Regional Medical City, and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation. TakeCare asserts that it offers the largest provider network of any health insurance plan in the region. Members also benefit from access to additional quality medical facilities across the United States and in countries such as Hawaii, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Wellness Programs and Health Education

TakeCare’s commitment to member wellness is further demonstrated through its nationally recognized Wellness and Fitness program. Participants in the FEHB and PSHB programs will have access to 23 fitness partners, including leading gyms and fitness centers across Guam. The company offers no-cost health education classes focused on nutrition, heart disease prevention, smoking cessation, and diabetes management.

These initiatives are designed to promote a balanced lifestyle, encompassing physical activity, healthy eating, relaxation, and social connections. By encouraging holistic health practices, TakeCare aims to foster a healthier community among its members.

In summary, the renewal of the health insurance programs by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management with TakeCare Insurance Company for 2026 underscores the provider’s longstanding role in delivering quality health care solutions to federal employees and their families. As health care demands evolve, TakeCare remains committed to enhancing its services and offerings to meet the needs of its diverse member base.
