Madison County Announces Winners of 2025 Photo Contest

WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. – The winners of the 2025 Madison County Photo Contest have been revealed, with April Lewin from Canastota taking home the grand prize. Her photograph, titled “Old barn in winter on Jones Rd. in Erieville, NY,” beautifully captures the essence of the town of Nelson and the wider Madison County area. This winning image will grace the cover of the upcoming 2026 Madison County Calendar, and Lewin has been awarded a $200 gift card for the Peterboro Table located in Morrisville, a generous contribution from both the restaurant and Madison County Tourism.

Alongside Lewin, there were winning entries from various towns within Madison County. The selected winners include:

The photographs submitted by these talented individuals will be displayed in the hallway leading to the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Madison County Office Building in Wampsville. Additionally, these images will be featured in the 2026 calendar, which is currently available for purchase.

Purchasing the Calendar and Future Contests

Madison County extends its gratitude to all participants, having received a total of 160 photo submissions from approximately 65 photographers.
