Dr. Luke Wainscoat Joins The Brattle Group as Principal Economist
The Brattle Group has announced the appointment of Dr. Luke Wainscoat as a Principal in its Sydney office, enhancing its Antitrust & Competition practice. With two decades of experience in the field, Dr. Wainscoat will advise clients on intricate competition, regulatory, and damages issues across Australia and New Zealand.
Recognized by Lexology Index as one of Australia’s leading competition economists, Dr. Wainscoat’s expertise spans various domains, including merger clearance processes, cartel investigations, anticompetitive agreements, and the misuse of market power. His extensive experience includes serving as an economic expert in significant legal matters, such as the Apple v. Epic case.

Before joining The Brattle Group, Dr. Wainscoat spent fourteen years as an economist in various consultancies in Sydney. His early career included a position at the United Kingdom’s Office of Fair Trading, which provided him with a solid foundation in competition policy and regulatory matters.
