Australian Influencer Stacey Hatfield Dies After Home Birth Tragedy
Stacey Hatfield, a well-known nutritionist and food influencer based in Australia, passed away on September 29, 2023, following complications from a home birth. She was 30 years old. Her husband, Nathan Warnecke, announced her death on social media, sharing the heartbreaking news with followers and friends.
In an emotional tribute posted on Instagram, Warnecke expressed his sorrow, stating, “It’s with a heavy heart that I share with you the unexpected passing of my beautiful wife, soul mate and best friend, Stacey Warnecke (Hatfield).” He confirmed that Stacey gave birth to their first child, a son named Axel, before complications arose.
Warnecke detailed that shortly after the birth, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication occurred, leading to Stacey’s transfer to the hospital. He praised the hospital staff for their efforts, noting, “They were amazing and did the utmost to help, but ultimately nothing could be done despite their best efforts.”
Legacy of a Wellness Advocate
Stacey Hatfield gained international recognition for her advocacy of low-toxin food and healthier living through her platform, Natural Spoonfuls. Through her social media channels and website, she inspired countless individuals to embrace wellness in their diets and lifestyles.
In his tribute, Warnecke reminisced about their nine years together, stating, “She was the light of my life and the reason I got up in the morning.” He conveyed the profound impact Stacey had on his life, emphasizing, “Words can’t do justice to how devastating this is for myself and everyone that knew and loved her. She was my lighthouse in the storm and the world is less bright without her in it.”

Following her tragic passing, a GoFundMe campaign was established to support Warnecke and their newborn son, Axel Grae Warnecke. The campaign aims to raise $50,000 to assist the family during this challenging time. The description on the fundraiser highlights that “Stacey and Nathan lived a quiet, love-filled life. They never would have asked for help. So I’m asking on their behalf.”
The post continues to acknowledge Warnecke’s strength as he steps into fatherhood, stating, “Nathan is stepping into fatherhood with unimaginable strength and grace. There’s so much on his plate right now, and if you’re able to support him through this GoFundMe… it would mean the world.”
