CLEVELAND, Ohio – Midnight Owl Brewing Co. has announced its closure after two and a half years in operation. Founders Joel Warger and Rosemary Mudry made the decision to shut down their brewery located in Shaker Heights, which previously occupied the space of Lucy’s Sweet Surrender on Chagrin Boulevard. The closure marks the end of an era for the local craft beer scene.

The reasons for this decision are varied, but Warger indicated that it was a challenging environment for small businesses. “We’ve loved serving the community, but it has become clear that we cannot continue under the current circumstances,” he stated.
