Eugene Levy Remembers Catherine O’Hara Following Her Death at 71

In a statement released to Variety, Levy remarked, “Words seem inadequate to express the loss I feel today.” He continued by reminiscing about their extensive collaboration, saying, “I had the honor of knowing and working with the great Catherine O’Hara for over fifty years. From our beginnings on the Second City stage, to SCTV, to the movies we did with Christopher Guest, to our six glorious years on Schitt’s Creek, I cherished our working relationship, but most of all our friendship. And I will miss her.”
Levy extended his condolences to O’Hara’s family, including her husband, Bo Welch, and their three sons, Matthew, Luke, and the rest of the O’Hara family. This personal touch highlights the deep bond they shared, both professionally and personally.
In addition to Levy’s tribute, Dan Levy, Eugene’s son and O’Hara’s on-screen son David Rose, also honored the late actress on social media. He shared a touching post on Instagram, stating, “What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years.” His message was accompanied by two photographs featuring moments shared with his television mother.
