Nicola Peltz Beckham has been announced as the lead in the upcoming indie drama film, ‘Prima’. The 31-year-old actress expressed her excitement on social media, stating, “I’m truly honored that this incredible cast and crew came together for ‘Prima’. It still feels unreal that my wildest dreams came true – that these extraordinarily talented creatives joined forces to bring to life a story that first began in my dreams.”

Scheduled to begin production, ‘Prima’ will feature a notable ensemble cast, including Jack Huston and Faye Dunaway. The film centers around Margo, portrayed by Peltz Beckham, a dedicated prima ballerina. Raised by her strict grandmother, a self-proclaimed “guardian of the art,” Margo’s life takes a dramatic turn when the head of her ballet company, played by Huston, marries a contemporary choreographer, portrayed by Betty Gabriel. This marriage disrupts the long-standing traditions of the company and sparks an intense power struggle that threatens the institution’s future.

As the plot unfolds, Margo grapples with the implications of her life choices, exploring a theme that resonates with many: the impact of difficult decisions on one’s future. The film also features Mira Sorvino in a supporting role.

The screenplay for ‘Prima’ has undergone several adaptations, with the latest draft written by Jenny Taylor-Whitehorn, based on a story and characters created by Peltz Beckham herself. The original concept has also been shaped by writers Allie Avital and Alia Azamat Ashkenazi.

Directing the film are Luca and Alessandro Morelli, collectively known as The Morelli Brothers, marking their directorial debut.

In addition to ‘Prima’, Nicola Peltz Beckham is set to appear in the upcoming series ‘The Beauty’, produced by Ryan Murphy. The anticipation surrounding both projects highlights her rising profile in the entertainment industry.

With its compelling narrative and a talented cast, ‘Prima’ promises to captivate audiences when it premieres.
