Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed a series of new release dates for its upcoming films scheduled for late 2026 and throughout 2027. The announcement highlights several highly anticipated projects, including the next installment in the popular horror franchise, “The Conjuring: First Communion,” set to premiere on September 10, 2027.

Rodrigue Huart will take the helm as director, working from a script penned by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg. The film will be produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, both of whom have been integral to the success of the franchise. “The Conjuring: First Communion” is expected to serve as a prequel, diving deeper into the series’ chilling lore.

In addition to the horror film, Warner Bros. has scheduled Sam Esmail’s new project titled “Panic Carefully” for February 26, 2027. This film marks another collaboration between Esmail and Academy Award nominee Julia Roberts, following their work together on the acclaimed series “Homecoming” and the film “Leave The World Behind.” The plot centers on the pursuit of a cyber-terrorist, featuring a talented cast that includes Eddie Redmayne, Brian Tyree Henry, Ben Chaplin, Aidan Gillen, Joe Alwyn, Naledi Murray, and Elizabeth Olsen. “Panic Carefully” will also be available in IMAX theaters on its release date.

Another notable project in the lineup is an untitled sci-fi film starring Keanu Reeves, which has been set for August 13, 2027. Previously titled “Shiver,” the film will be directed by Tim Miller and follows a smuggler who finds himself entangled in a deadly double-cross during a job in the Caribbean. Surrounded by corpses, hostile mercenaries, and hungry sharks, the protagonist becomes trapped in a time loop and must find a way to escape the cycle.

Lastly, J.J. Abrams will direct the action-adventure film “The Great Beyond,” scheduled for release on November 13, 2026. This film tells the story of a young married couple fighting for survival against a supernatural entity. The cast includes Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey, Samuel L. Jackson, Sophie Okonedo, and Merritt Wever. “The Great Beyond” marks Abrams’ return to directing since “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

This strategic release slate from Warner Bros. Pictures is poised to capture the attention of audiences around the globe, promising a mix of horror, drama, and adventure in the coming years.
