Innovative Approach to Cancer Treatment
Previously operating under the name FogPharma, Parabilis is developing a unique class of corkscrew-shaped peptides. These innovative peptides are designed to penetrate cellular barriers more effectively, particularly in targeting cancerous tumors. The company’s approach is based on the potential of these peptides to enhance drug delivery, aiming to improve treatment efficacy for patients battling various forms of cancer.
Parabilis has maintained a privately held status for an extended period, which is somewhat unusual for biotech startups in the current market. Despite the substantial funding, CEO Mathai Mammen has historically expressed reluctance regarding the prospect of an initial public offering (IPO). In prior statements, Mammen indicated that he did not see a compelling reason for Parabilis to transition into a publicly traded company, especially before the firm’s previous financing round in 2024.
