Casa Larga Hosts Christmas Benefit for Young Transplant Patient

Casa Larga Vineyards in Perinton, New York, hosted a festive Christmas party on December 15, 2025, aimed at raising funds for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). The event was organized to support the family of a young girl named Addy Telesca, who underwent a life-saving liver transplant in October 2025.

Proceeds from the event will directly assist Addy’s family with transplant-related expenses, alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with her medical journey.

Andrea Telesca, a family friend and volunteer campaign coordinator for COTA, shared Addy’s story, highlighting the challenges faced by the family. “Addy and her twin sister Laney were born six weeks premature,” Andrea noted. “They spent a week in the neonatal intensive care unit before going home. At three months old, Addy was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a condition that affects the bile ducts in the liver.”

After an unsuccessful procedure, it became clear that Addy would require a liver transplant. In September, the family received the heartbreaking news, but by October, Addy had successfully received her new liver, marking a significant milestone in her battle for health.

The event at Casa Larga served not only to raise funds but also to build awareness about the importance of organ transplants for children. COTA plays a vital role in supporting families navigating the complexities of pediatric organ transplants, offering financial and emotional assistance during difficult times.
