Community Remembers Christine Teresa Golob After Cancer Battle
Christine Teresa Golob, a beloved member of her community, passed away from cancer on January 6, 2026, at the age of 69. A proud mother and devoted wife, Golob is remembered for her warm spirit and deep connection to her Polish heritage, which she celebrated through music and dance.
Born to Zdzislaw Rajtar and Danuta (Staron) Rajtar, Christine dedicated much of her life to family and community. She was married to her husband Carl Golob for 40 years and is survived by their two children, Jackie and Joe. Her commitment to her family extended to her siblings, who include Ryszard, Janek, Roman, Henryk, Taeusz, Antek, and Stefan Rajtar.
Christine’s professional life was equally noteworthy, as she served at Honeywell for an impressive 45 years. Her passion for her Polish culture was evident in her active involvement with the Dolina Polish Folk Dancers, where she not only participated but also taught the children’s dance group, Zespol Sloneczniki, for nearly three decades. Her dedication to nurturing the next generation of dancers left a lasting impact on many young lives in the community.
Celebration of Life and Donations
A visitation will take place from 13:00 to 16:00 on January 11, 2026, at the Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel located at 1918 University Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life service at 14:00, featuring a Rosary at 15:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to support the organizations that Christine cherished. Donations can be directed to Zespol Sloneczniki in North East Minneapolis, St. Joseph’s Indian School in South Dakota, or Boys Town Orphanage in Omaha, Nebraska.
Christine Golob’s legacy will live on through her family and the many lives she touched through her cultural contributions. Her unwavering spirit and commitment to her heritage will remain a source of inspiration for all who knew her.
